PRINTING United Expo 2026 was held September 23–25 in Las Vegas, bringing together thousands of printing professionals and hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest equipment, technology, and innovations in our industry.
What I find most interesting about events like PRINTING United is seeing how quickly our industry continues to evolve. Digital printing, automation, artificial intelligence, and workflow improvements were major areas of focus. It's clear that manufacturers are putting a lot of effort into helping printers become more efficient, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
With the recent addition of our Konica Minolta AccurioJet 30000 (KM1e) at Hatteras Printing, these advancements are especially relevant to what we're doing. Investing in new equipment is only part of the equation. Finding ways to better utilize that equipment, automate processes, and improve how jobs move through production is just as important.
One thing that continues to stand out to me is that technology alone doesn't make a printing company successful. It's how we use that technology, along with the knowledge and experience of our employees, that makes the difference.
The printing industry continues to change, and I believe Hatteras is positioning itself well for the future. Our challenge is to keep learning, improving, and taking advantage of the opportunities these new technologies provide.
