John Orlando Retires After 46 Incredible Years in the Paper & Print Industry

With a combination of happiness for John and sadness for us,  I am writing to share the news that John Orlando has decided to retire effective June 1, 2022.  John has been a friend of our family for over 40 years.  Many of you have heard the story that back in 1980 John's paper company was the first and only paper vendor at that time who would take a chance on my mom.  He extended her credit terms on her paper purchases so she could build her business.  Claudia never forgot John's kindness and his desire to help lift everyone around him.   John has had a long and successful career in paper long before he came to Hatteras.  Over the past six years, John has helped build Hatteras into one of the largest printing companies in Michigan.  He introduced us to I am Detroit to start our screen printing and embroidery division.  He helped recruit and build our solid sales team.  He started our Hatteras Books division which opened us up to a whole new market in print.   Most recently he implemented our online marketing presence with a new website and CRM system.  John has a passion for people and he brought that energy to Hatteras every day.  John has always been Team Hatteras and was a constant friend and mentor to James and myself.  He absolutely wanted the best for the company and the people who work here.  

Our family would like to thank John for his work at Hatteras and wish him and his family all the best.  

John will definitely be missed.
